8th Congress of the International Society of Nutrigenetics/Nutrigenomics (ISNN) The theme of the Congress is: “Nutrigenetics/Nutrigenomics to Optimise Health in rapidly Aging and Culturally Diverse Populations”

This theme was chosen to reflect the challenges of defining nutritional requirements that are properly suited to meet the health needs of populations that are culturally and genetically diverse, experiencing rapid changes in food supply and at the same time becoming older.
3. Taiwan, August 21th – 24th, 2014 Idrus Jus'at, MSc., Ph.D 6th ACD (Asean Congress Dietetics) This conference is under the auspices of the Asian Federation of Dietetic Association (AFDA). The conference theme is “Advancing health through innovating dietetic practice across Asia” and covers a wide range of topics.

Surono, MSc., Ph.D 4th Asian Federation of Societies for Lactic Acid Bacteria (AFSLAB) AFSLAB is a non-profit professional organization whose overall aim is to encourage research, communication and education in LAB and related sciences. AFSLAB binds legally constituted national or regional scientific societies and groups in Asia that are concerned with LAB research and industrial activities. Today, AFSLAB has 13 member countries - Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Taiwan, Philippines, India, Singapore, Mongolia, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Iran.

Her research topic is focusing on the new product development processes for products that aim to increase standards of people living on low incomes in emerging countries, especially in the healthcare sector in Indonesia.

Asian Congress of Nutrition (ACN) Nutrition and Food for Longevity: For the Well-Being of All

In this year, Japan Society of Nutrition and Food Science, Federation of Asian Nutrition Societies (FANS) was appointed to carry out the Asian Congress of Nutrition. ACN 2015 will be held in Pacifico Yokohama on 14 – 18 May 2015. The total number of attendees expected to participate in this Congress is nearly 20.000.

The goal of this congress is to encourage among food and nutrition researchers in Asia. Nowadays, the science of food and nutrition has had a drastic role change and nutrition and food scientists should take a note of the health trends, environmental concerns, and the changing economic climate. In developing countries, the problems of famine and malnutrition are still a huge burden, while in developing countries, the increament of prevalence in obesity and lifestyle-related diseases has become a major issue, and the public concern has shifted from deficiency to over-nutrition during the last half century.

Therefore, in this Asian Congress of Nutrition 2015, several talented researchers will present their researches either oral or poster presentations. Besides, the scientific program of the Congress consisted of symposia and workshops including invitational plenary sessions, special lectures and debates on the current problems of human nutrition and food sciences.
